Introduction
Ancient Villages in Southern Anhui—Xidi and Hongcun are located in Yi County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, China. They are a well-preserved ancient village group, famous for their unique Hui style of architecture and profound historical and cultural heritage. The two villages are listed as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and are a model of traditional Chinese village architecture.
