Introduction:

The Badaling Great Wall is known as one of the nine fortresses in the world. It is the essence of the Great Wall and is unique in the Ming Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall is the earliest section of the Great Wall to be opened to tourists. The Badaling Scenic Area is mainly based on the Badaling Great Wall. It has built modern tourist service facilities with complete functions such as the Badaling Hotel and the Quanzhou Cinema. The Badaling Scenic Area is famous for its magnificent landscape, complete facilities and profound cultural and historical connotations. Badaling is the best preserved and most representative section of the Ming Great Wall. It was called the danger of Juyong not in the pass but in Badaling in ancient times. This section of the Great Wall is steep and commanding, combining majestic and steep, beautiful and verdant. After many renovations, the section available for sightseeing is 3,741 meters, including 1,176 meters in the south section and 2,565 meters in the north section, with a total of 16 enemy towers. Badaling is a witness to many major events in history.
It is divided into two parts, the South Great Wall and the North Great Wall. The South Great Wall has 7 watchtowers and relatively few tourists, while the North Great Wall has 12 watchtowers and is more difficult to climb.

Notes:

[Beijing Tourist Service Center] has an official direct shuttle bus to and from Badaling.

The one-way fare is 20 yuan. Badaling is about 85 kilometers away from the city center. If there is no traffic jam, it can be reached in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
