Baidi City & Qutang Gorge Scenic Area

Introduction

Located in Baidi Town, Fengjie County, Chongqing, Baidi City & Qutang Gorge Scenic Area stands at the western entrance of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, overlooking Kuimen Gate to the east, facing the White Salt Mountain across the river to the south, adjacent to Fengjie County to the west, and backed by Jigong Mountain to the north. With a total area of 4.7 square kilometers, the scenic area mainly comprises Baidi City and Qutang Gorge, boasting numerous places of interest and integrating nature and humanity, poetry and war into one. It is the starting point for enjoying the magnificent beauty of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. In 1982, the scenic area was approved as a key national scenic spot along the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, and in 2022, it was rated as a national AAAAA tourist attraction.

Opening Hours

Park Opening: Open year-round, with the park gates opening at 08:30 daily, tickets stopping being sold at 17:00, entry stopping at 17:30, and the park closing at 19:00, except in special circumstances.
