Introduction

The Ming Tombs, located in Changping District, Beijing, are a group of tombs for 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. Construction began in 1409 and took over 230 years to complete. These tombs are the final resting place for the founding emperors and several other emperors of the Ming Dynasty, and they represent one of the largest and most intact imperial tomb complexes in China. Ticket Prices

Different tombs within the Ming Tombs have different admission fees. Here are the prices for some of the tombs:

  • Dingling: 65 RMB/person
  • Changling: 45 RMB/person
  • Zhaoling: 30 RMB/person
    Other tombs may be free or charge separately. Exact prices are subject to the announcements by the scenic area.

Opening Hours

  • High Season (April 1 to October 31): 08:00 - 17:30
  • Low Season (November 1 to March 31 of the following year): 08:30 - 17:00

Preferential Policies

  • Children under 1.2 meters tall enter for free.
  • Seniors over 60 years old enjoy a 50% discount with valid ID.
  • Students receive a 50% discount with a valid student ID.
  • People with disabilities enter for free with a disability certificate.

Transportation

  • Subway: Take the Changping Line to Nanshao Station and then transfer to a bus heading to the Ming Tombs scenic area.
  • Bus: Take buses 872, 878, 925, or others directly to the Ming Tombs scenic area.
  • Taxi: Use DiDi or other taxi-hailing apps and input "明十三陵" as your destination.
