Hongping in Shennongjia

Introduction

Hongping Scenic Area in Shennongjia, also known as the Shennong Ladder, is located at the southern foot of Tianmen Pass in Shennongjia. It is a canyon basin stretching 15 kilometers. There are many peaks on both sides of the canyon, and the scenery on both sides of the clear stream is like ink splashing. There are natural landscapes such as one river, two streams, three waterfalls, four bridges, five pools, six caves, seven towers, eight villages, nine stones, and thirty-six peaks, which complement each other and have the fun of changing scenery. The scenery of Hongping Scenic Area varies in four seasons, attracting countless painters to sketch here, and it enjoys the reputation of "Hongping Gallery".

Transportation

  • The main mode of transportation is car, which can be entered and exited from Shiyan and Yichang. From Shiyan, go to Songbai Town first; and from Yichang to Shennongjia, go to Muyu Town first. It is recommended to drive or charter a car.
