Introduction

The Tibet Museum is located at No. 19 Norbulingka Road, Lhasa. It is one of the largest comprehensive museums in the Tibet Autonomous Region. The museum was established on October 5, 1999, covering an area of ​​54,000 square meters and a building area of ​​23,100 square meters. The Tibet Museum takes the collection, research, exhibition, inheritance and protection of Tibetan history, culture and natural heritage as its main tasks, and is committed to promoting the excellent cultural traditions of the nation, promoting national unity and social progress.

Closed on Mondays (except statutory holidays), open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Transportation

Take bus No. 14 or No. 20 and get off at Luodui Station; or take bus No. 13, No. 24, No. 25, No. 28, No. 29, No. 41, No. 89 and get off at Tibet University Station and walk about 500 meters to arrive.
